Intersection Trio

Violinist Laura Frautschi, cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper, and pianist John Novacek, collect their star power into an evening of easy sophistication, sequencing classical selections with “everybody’s favorites” in an enchanting manner.  Singly, the three are frequent soloists in cities across the globe - New York is their hometown and they adopt new music coming from energetic young composers such as Patrick Zimmerli and Kenji Bunch, to whom the sounds of jazz, film music and popular theater serve as daily inspiration.  The Trio’s hallmark is diversity; and the audience gift is a heightened impression of the meaning of ensemble in all its precision and grace.
