Acclaimed in Bostonia Magazine as “One of the nation’s finest chamber ensembles,” the Beacon Brass won the prestigious Concert Artists Guild award in 1983 and has since taken their classical-to-jazz concerts from Carnegie Hall to the John F. Kennedy Library, to television and radio around the nation and back home to Boston’s Olmstead Park summer concerts. Our Quintet artists, separately hold teaching and performing posts in Boston’s top orchestras and colleges: Dana Russian, trumpet; Hans Bohn, trumpet; Kevin Owen, French horn; Dana Oakes, trombone; and Don Rankin, tuba.
